This paper reports the preliminary results on using computer-assisted morphemic analysis in Chinese vocabulary learning. Native English-speaking high school students recruited from an AP Chinese course participated in the study. Two kinds of vocabulary expansion approaches were examined: a form-based expansion (words with one common character) and a phonetic-based expansion (words with one homophonic/homonymic character). After three weeks of computer-assisted instruction, both groups performed better on the word recognition tests. However, there are no significant differences between the improvements of the two groups. Furthermore, students with lower scores on the pre-test performed much better on the post-test only in the form-based expansion group.

本文探討以數位學習工具<學文 Easy Go!>輔助華語文學習者在「以字帶詞」詞彙學習策略方面之成效。研究對象為美國加州地區某高中修習華語課程之學生,在實施現場教學之後,結果顯示:實驗組(同字衍生詞)和對照組(同/近音衍生詞)之字詞成就測驗成績均有提升,兩組間之進步分數無顯著差異。同字衍生詞策略對於前測成績較不理想的學習者有較佳的進步成效。
