Submission Guidelines
1. Paper Submissions Abstracts (by 12/31/2017): Submit an abstract with no more than 150 words in English or 400 characters in Chinese for a 20-minute presentation at http://www.tclt.us/tclt10/submit_abstract.php. All abstracts will be blind peer-reviewed.
Full paper (by 3/31/2018): No more than 6 pages. Include (1) title of the paper (in both Chinese and English), (2) abstract (in both Chinese and English), (3) author’s name, affiliation (in both languages if applicable), email address, (4) body text (Chinese or English), and (5) references. More details will be available on the conference website in mid-January, 2018.
(Selected papers will be invited to submit to the Journal of Technology and Chinese Language Teaching and published after double-blind peer review. The Journalis registered with the Library of Congress (ISSN 1949-260X) and indexed by MLA, ESCI, and Google Scholars. Its in-print supplement Series of Technology and Chinese Language Teaching in the U.S. (《美国科技与中文教学丛书》) are published by China Social Sciences Press (中国社会科学出版社))
2. Workshop Proposal Submissions
Submit a one-page proposal for a 50-minute workshop including the title and description of the workshop, targeted audience, intended outcomes, and equipment need (workshop participants are expected to bring their own equipment).
3. Note
Each presenter can submit up to two paper abstracts. In case of slot limitations, multiple-paper presenters will be asked to select one paper to present.
Registration Fee Schedule
Early bird registration (on or before March 31, 2018): US $160
Regular registration (between April 1-May 25, 2018): US $190
Onsite registration (cash only): US $220
Students with valid student ID: US $100
Receipt of the registration fee will be included in each participant’s conference folder/bag at the conference
The registration fee covers the following:
Admissions to all conference sessions and workshops
A pre-conference cocktail reception (Thursday evening)
Three luncheons (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
One dinner (Friday)
One banquet (Saturday evening)
Coffee breaks
The Conference Program and Conference Proceedings published by NTNU (available onsite), and the participant’s badge, etc.
Wi-Fi and technical support during conference sessions and workshops
A special rate for accommodation at the venue hotels
Notes for the Registration
Participants (including presenters and co-presenters) must register and pay the appropriate registration fee. To secure a slot for presentation at the conference and be included in the conference program/proceedings, presenters must pay the registration fee by March 31, 2018. In the case of co-presentation, one of co-presenters must pay the registration fee by March 31, 2018.
Each presenter’s registration can cover a maximum of 2 abstracts if both of them are accepted.
Refund and cancellation request must be received in writing via email on or before April 26, 2018. There will be a US $25 service charge for refund.
Exhibition Space and Fees
The basic fee $250 covers one table, two chairs, and one registration ticket. Each additional registration ticket costs $100.
